IP Commands
IP Commands (Table)
The commands described in this chapter are listed in the table below.
This chapter describes the commands used to configure Ethernet and InfiniBand Internet Protocol
connections. The first part of this chapter contains tables that list each IP command and cross-references
command descriptions. The second part is comprised of descriptions of the commands in alphabetical order.

Command Keyword Description
arp ib Assigns static ARP addresses to Fabric interface ports.
clear ib arp-cache Removes accumulated IPoIB addresses from the ARP routing table.
default ip ip-over-ib mtu Resets the maximum size of the payload of IP-over-IB traffic back to the
default size.
exit Exits the current mode for the previous mode, or the user-execute mode. See
“exit” on page 259
help Describes the types of online help information available. See “help” on
page 263
history Lists all the commands executed during the current CLI session. See
“history” on page 264
ip domain-name Configures the network DNS domain for the system chassis.
ip ip-over-ib-mtu Sets the Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) of the packet or frame payload
of IP-over-IB traffic along a path from the source to its destination.
ip name-server-one Specifies the IP address of the primary DNS server.
ip name-server-two Specifies the IP address of the backup DNS server.
ip route Defines static routes to remote hosts or networks for IP packet forwarding.
name Assigns names to interface gateways for easier tracking (some gateway
functions are not supported by HP Fabric Clustering System).
