interface
Synopsis:
The interface command is used to enter a sub-command mode in which to configure Fabric interface cards, as
well as chassis management connections.
Syntax:
interface {type}
The interface sub-commands are listed in the table below.
Command Modes:
Privileged-execute mode.
Privilege Level:
Unrestricted read-write user.
Usage Guidelines:
The no gateway ip command configures the default gateway IP address of the out-of-band Ethernet
Management port.
Using the no keyword disables the gateway indicated by ip and resets the gateway IP address to all zeros
(0.0.0.0.0).
The help command displays the command help. See “gateway” on page 261
The history command displays all the commands executed during the current CLI session. See “history” on
page 264

Keyword Description
ib Enters interface mgmt-ib submode.
Configures the Fabric interface. See “HP Fabric Clustering System
Commands” on page 235 for a description of HP Fabric Clustering
System configuration commands.
mgmt-ethernet Enters interface mgmt-ethernet submode.
The interface mgmt-ethernet command is used to enable and configure
the IP addresses for the port and gateway of the out-of-band Ethernet
port used to administer the the system chassis.
Configures the out-of-band Ethernet management port used to
administer the chassis. See “interface” on page 267
mgmt-ib Configures in-band Fabric management port used to administer the
chassis. See “interface mgmt-ib” on page 269
