interface mgmt-ib
Synopsis:
The interface mgmt-ib command is used to enable and configure the IP addresses for the virtual port and
gateway on the fabric. Once configured, hosts connected to any HP Fabric Clustering System Switch port that
run IPoIB may use the port and gateway to administer the chassis.
Syntax:
interface mgmt-ib
Command Modes:
Privileged-execute mode.
Configuration Interface Management IB mode (config-if-mgmt-ib).
Privilege Level:
Unrestricted read-write user.
Usage Guidelines:
Use this command to enter the Configure IB Management mode, which will enable you to connect you to
control the virtual port and gateway of the fabric (some gateway functions are not supported by HP Fabric
Clustering System).
The Management-InfiniBand port provides Telnet, SSH, and Element Manager access from HP Fabric
Clustering System hosts running IPoIB that are connected to any of the fabric ports on the HP Fabric
Clustering System interface (Element Manager GUI is not supported in the HP Fabric Clustering System
initial release).
The Management-InfiniBand port assignment is recognized throughout the entire fabric. Any HP Fabric
Clustering System host connected to any HP Fabric Clustering System interface port may access the
Management-InfiniBand port. Connected hosts may be disconnected and then reconnected to any other HP
Fabric Clustering System interface port without having to redefine the Management-InfiniBand port.
One Management-InfiniBand port may be assigned. The Management-InfiniBand interface must
beconfigured before you can use it.
