Compatibility Information and Installation Requirements
Software Requirements
• Products Z7344A ACC/X.25 Software Bundle requires J2793B X.25/9000 product to be
installed first or together.
Hardware Requirements
• This release of ACC software runs on IA64 servers only
• This release of ACC software only works with the ACC interface card Z7340A
OS Platform and Version Compatibility
• This release only runs on HP-UX 11i V.2 operating system.
If you are currently running HP-UX 10.x or 11.x, you must upgrade to HP-UX 11i V.2
before installing this release.
Install/Upgrade With System Up or Down
• It is recommended that the necessary ACC interface cards be installed before installing
the software. Single-User mode is not necessary during software installation, but the ACC
system must be shutdown (using zmasterd kill). The operating system will be rebooted
after installation.
This release of ACC supports Online Addition and Replacement of cards, for the systems
that support OLAR. In these systems, ACC cards can be replaced when the system is up
and running, without stopping ACC or rebooting the system. Also new cards can be added
without bringing down ACC susbsytem, but for the cards to be operational, ACC
subsystem must be restarted.
Compatibility with X.25/9000
• Product J2793B X.25/9000 release B.11.23.01 (or later) is supported by this release of
ACC software/hardware. This allows the X.25/9000 software to run on ACC hardware.
