ZMON Command Descriptions
Chapter 7 173
15:24:13 zmon 00110 Card 0 startup successful, card READY
15:24:13 zmon 00020 Cold start completed, ZCOM system ready
15:24:13 zmon 00004 Waiting for ZMON requests ...
The message zmon 00004 Waiting for ZMON requests ...” indicates
that ZCOM is up and ready for use.
NOTE Although you may use ZMON directly to initialize and startup the
ZCOM sub-system, it is highly recommended that you startup the ZCOM
sub-system using “zmasterd cold <filename>”. The zmasterd daemon will
automatically invoke all needed ZCOM daemons in their correct order
and monitor them for any abnormal terminations as well as starting up
the ZCOM sub-system.
Stop
Function: Stop ZCOM subsystem
Format: zmon stop
The stop command is used to shutdown the ZCOM subsystem. This is an
unconditional shutdown and will shut down the ZCOM sub-system
irrespective of the state or usage at the time. After a shutdown has been
issued a cold start must be used to restart ZCOM sub-system. Note that
if zmasterd was used to startup the ZCOM subsystem, zmon stop should
not be used.
For example zmon stop will generate the following messages in the
ZCOM error log:
zmon stop
11:09:54 zmon 00002 Resource manager (Rev 1.32) for ZCOM 6.2.0.0
11:09:54 zmon 00005 Stopping system ...
11:09:54 zmon 00120 Card 0 shutting down ...
11:09:59 zcom 00121 Initiate reset with 1 active ZCOM requests
11:09:59 zmon 00049 End of ZMON request, program terminated
11:09:59 zmon 00075 ZCOM system stopped
When ZMON halts the Mux software the LED on the Mux card will flash
amber until the selftest is rerun (usually at the next startup of the Mux
or power-up of the system).
