ZNODE - Remote Node Daemon
znode Options
Chapter 8 179
znode Options
The runstring for znode is the following:
% znode [-h <n>] [-s <n>] [-d]
where:
-h <n>
Sets the znode heart beat timeout to n seconds (default
is 5 seconds). This is useful on slow LANs (or WANs).
-s <n>
Sets the interval in seconds for updating the node
status and statistics kept in the ZCOM system. Default
is 2 seconds.
-d Debug mode. Does not run as daemon; only prints
useful information.
The znode program must be started after zmon is started. If the zmon
program is terminated, znode will terminate. If zmon is restarted, znode
must also be restarted. Note that it is strongly recommended that you
only start znode through the zmasterd daemon.
If znode terminates, its termination will be detected by the ACC mux
driver. Requests that are made on the system where znode terminated
that are destined to another node will return with a node down error.
