• PVCs towards adapters of a different type: Ensure that you
configure a traffic profile type that is also supported on the
destination ATM adapter.
Table 5-7 below lists the PVC traffic profiles supported on HP ATM
adapters (discontinued adapters are not shown).
NOTE For some switches, when you configure the ABR traffic type, do not set
the Minimum Rate (MR) to 0 unless you know your switch supports that
setting. To determine whether your switch supports an MR of 0, contact
your switch vendor. If you need to reduce the MR, we recommend that
you do not set it lower than 2400 bits per second.
Adding a PVC
NOTE When configuring a PVC, you must configure it on the source ATM
system, the ATM switch, and the destination ATM system.
You can add a PVC in SAM or by using the command atmmgr add.
