Migrating from HA-ATM to EMS HA-ATM

Migrating from HA-ATM to EMS HA-ATM
Note that although the non-EMS version of HA-ATM is being
discontinued beginning with this release, these migration instructions
are included in case you have not migrated to EMS HA-ATM yet. If you
have not, we recommend that you migrate as soon as possible.
Migrating from remote recovery with the non-EMS version of HA-ATM
to remote recovery with EMS HA-ATM is very simple.
NOTE These migration steps are for remote recovery only. To use local recovery
with EMS HA-ATM, disable any scripts that might start the
serv_hatmmon monitor, or remove execute permission from
/opt/hatmmon/sbin/serv_hatmmon. Then, start thehatmmon monitor in
SAM (see “Starting the Monitor for the ELAN Interface Resource” on
page 124).
IMPORTANT If either of these is true:
You previously used a version of MC/ServiceGuard earlier than
A.10.10.
or
You defined the IP and subnet by using -i
floating_IP_addresses
instead of using the IP and Subnet fields of the package control
script.
you must first do the following for each ELAN interface you are
monitoring in an MC/ServiceGuard package:
Step 1. Edit the package control script.
Step 2. Declare the floating IP address information, using the IP and Subnet
fields.
Step 3. Delete the -i option of the serv_hatmmon command.
