Before using this flowchart, use SAM to check that the system is an ARP
server.

A Check remote system. Ensure that the remote system is configured as
an ARP client and that the ATM address of its ARP server is the one
used by the local ATM adapter. You can check the ATM address by using
SAM or the command atmmgr
card_inst_num
show -c (see “F” on
page 212 for an example).
B Reconfigure remote system. Make the required changes to the
configuration or ATM address.
C Troubleshoot remote system and switches. Specifically, check the
configuration on the remote system. There could also be a malfunction
with the ARP server. For HP ATM adapters, see “Checking Network
Connectivity (SVC and ARP)” on page 206.
