Troubleshooting LAN Emulation
Chapter 9238
NOTE When an ATM-connected device is communicating with a legacy LAN
device, use traditional Ethernet or Token Ring LAN troubleshooting
procedures to troubleshoot the legacy LAN device. Use the edge device’s
troubleshooting procedures to troubleshoot the edge device connected to
the legacy LAN device; this ensures that everything on the legacy LAN
side is working correctly. Then, use the troubleshooting procedures
described below to troubleshoot the connection between the
ATM-connected device and the ATM-connected edge device.
A Type elstat -n
net_interface
-v to get information on the ELAN that
corresponds to the IP interface, and its configured backup services (if
any). The output looks like this, for example (note, this example is for a
configuration that includes LANE V2 and MPOA):
