An ATM adapter has changed to DOWN 319
For both the 318 and 305 messages—concerning an ELAN interface
failure—the ATM adapter number is included in the message. If a
corresponding adapter failure message is not logged, that means the
LAN Emulation Services have failed (see “Troubleshooting LAN
Emulation” on page 226). If the adapter failure message is logged, that
means an adapter/link/switch problem has occurred, which can be due to
any of the following things:
ATM adapter hardware failuretroubleshoot the ATM adapter as
described in “Troubleshooting the ATM Adapter and Software
Installation” on page 190.
Link failure between the ATM adapter and its ATM switch. Check
the link between the ATM adapter and the ATM switch. Check any
link integrity LEDs on the switch and the adapter, and check the
connections on the switch and adapter.
ATM switch failure. Troubleshoot the ATM switch as described in
your ATM switch troubleshooting documentation.
