If the Recovery Delay Period is Configured
If you configured a local recovery delay period for a primary ELAN
interface (see “Local Recovery” on page 93), and the interface fails, one or
both of these messages are written to the log file at the beginning of the
delay period: The Current ELAN interface status has changed to
DOWN and The Current ATM adapter status has changed to DOWN.
Then, if the interface does not come back up during the delay period,
another message is logged, as follows:
•Ifboth of the above messages are logged
—IfThe Current ELAN interface status has changed to
DOWN is logged first, then the message Current ELAN interface
is DOWN is also logged.
—IfThe Current ATM adapter status has changed to DOWN is
logged first, then the message Current ATM adapter is DOWN is
also logged.
If only The Current ELAN interface status has changed to
DOWN is logged, then only Current ELAN interface is DOWN is also
logged.
Example for HP-UX 10.20:
