A range (for example, 100-200).
Up to 10
argument
s can be specified.
Call reference filtering is active for only signalling packets.
LAN Emulation LEC_ID Filter Options
For filtering on LAN Emulation LEC_ID ranges, the syntax is as follows:
atm LecId
argument
[
argument
] ...
where
argument
is one of the following:
* for all.
!* for none.
A numeric value (for example, 128).
A range (for example, 100-200).
Up to 10
argument
s can be specified.
LecId filtering is active for only LAN Emulation frames.
Default Filter Values
By default, no filtering is active. The formatter provides the following:
All VPIs
All VCIs
All PDUs (no user check)
For Q93b PDUs, all call references are passed
For LAN Emulation, all LEC_IDs are passed
Because the default isthat no filters are active, you actually usenegation
(!) to enable filters. Negation specifies what you do not want to display,
so it, in effect, tells the formatter “Display everything that is applicable,
except for the things I’ve specified.” For example, for Classical IP/ATM
ARP, if you want to display IP packets but not ARP packets, the only
thing you need to specify is to negate the display of ARP packets (that is,
to not display ARP packets). This is because IP packets are displayed by
default (so you do not have to specify anything about IP packets). The
following line does this:
atm user_iparp !ARP
