Replacing an ATM ARP Client Adapter
If an HP ATM adapter used as an ATM ARP Client needs to be replaced,
you can just remove the old adapter and replace it with a new one. See
the relevant installation guide (listed in “Related General Information”
on page xviii).
To replace an ATM ARP Client adapter, follow these steps:
Step 1. Shut down and turn off the system, and disconnect it from the
telecommunications network and electricity supply.
Step 2. Remove the defective adapter.
Step 3. Follow the instructions for installing the hardware only in the ATM
installation guide and install the new ATM adapter.
NOTE If the network uses ILMI address registration, the ATM address of the
new adapter is found automatically and registered with the server after
system reboot.
If the network does not support ILMI address registration, you must
specify the ATM address manually.
