NOTE The line Local Segment ID (shown as bold in the above example) is
displayed for only Token Ring networks. A value of 000 indicates that
transparent mode is being used. If source routing is being used, the
number of the ring is displayed in this field.
The Primary LEC Status is shown as “Operational” and the State is
shown as “Current” when the adapter has successfully joined the ELAN
(all VCCs are open). If configured, the Secondary LEC status is displayed
as “Operational” and the State is shown as Backup” when the secondary
LAN Emulation services are operational.
Step 2. To test that the ELAN interface can transmit and receive data correctly,
type this command:
ping
