Release Notes Contents Release Notes Contents These release notes contain information for the A6826A host bus adapter (HBA) for Linux 64-bit Itanium systems. This HBA is a 2 Gb high-performance PCI-X option HBA that connects to devices attached through a switch-based optical Fibre Channel fabric. This HBA supports only short wave multi-mode connections. It is backward compatible to PCI. These release notes include known issues or restrictions for using the HBA within a system configuration.

Supported Systems and Requirements Supported Systems and Requirements This HBA is supported on HP server platforms that: ■ Meet the voltage and minimum PCI slot requirements listed in Table 1. ■ Support Red Hat Enterprise Linux 2.1 (Red Hat AS) for 64-bit Itanium systems, kernels 2.4.18-e.31 and 2.4.18-e.37. ■ Support for SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 8 (SUSE SLES 8) for 64-bit Itanium systems, kernels 2.4.19-114 and 2.4.19-153.
