Compatibility Information and Installation Requirements
This section describes the requirements for installing version B.11.23.02 of the HyperFabric
software and hardware on the HP-UX 11i v 2 operating system.
WARNING A change was introduced in both HyperFabric versions B.11.11.04 for
HP-UX 11iv1 and version B.11.23.02 for HP-UX 11iv2 to ensure that
HyperFabric failover time remains under 30 seconds in all conditions.
Because of this change, the HyperFabric daemon in these versions
becomes incompatible with the daemon in older versions for failover
features only. Therefore to ensure proper failover behavior, you
should update all your systems in the Hyperfabric cluster together to
version B.11.11.04 for 11iv1 or B.11.23.02 for 11iv2.
Prerequisites
Before you install the HyperFabric software, you must have already installed the HP-UX 11i
v2 operating system.
Software Requirements
You must have the HyperFabric driver software (HyprFabrc-00) version B.11.23.02.
Hardware Requirements
You must have one or more appropriate HyperFabric adapters installed in the HP system.
Table 1-2 lists the supported adapter configurations for version B.11.23.02 of the HyperFabric
software.
