HyperFabric Release Notes Announcement Announcement HyperFabric is a high-speed network link that runs on various HP systems running HP-UX. HyperFabric supports Hyper Messaging Protocol (HMP) and the IP network protocol stack (TCP/IP/UDP). This release note contains information about versions B.11.11.05.01 and B.11.23.03.01 of the HyperFabric software. Notice of non support of Oracle 10g RAC HyperFabric product suite was designed to optimize performance of Oracle 9i RAC database running on HP-UX clusters.
HyperFabric Release Notes What’s in This Version What’s in This Version HyperFabric version B.11.23.03.01 supports the following feature: Support for Large User Count Prior to the B.11.23.02 releases, each HP-UX instance limited the value of SKGXP attribute CLIC_ATTR_APPL_MAX_PROCS. This value was less than 2500 in the Local Failover mode. This limited the number of HMP instances created by Oracle to 2500 HMP instances, and indirectly limited the number of Oracle end users.
HyperFabric Release Notes What’s in This Version In the Non-Local Failover configuration mode, these values can be set to a maximum of (4997 * Number of CLIC cards configured). Oracle RAC users must use the Local Failover configuration mode.
