10GigEthr-02 (iexgbe) B.11.31.1203 Ethernet Driver Release Notes

2.2 Changed features
The following feature has been changed with this version of 10GigEthr-02:
Flow control support is removed.
Version 11.31.1203 of the iexgbe driver removes TX and RX flow control that had been
introduced in Jannuary of 2012 in iexgbe Web Release B.11.31.1201 (QXCR1001093086).
A planned future release of the iexgbe driver will reintroduce flow control.

When packets with any of LLC, IP or TCP header spans across more than one mblk sent
through igssn, the driver will drop such packets. But the guest is not aware of such drops and

it continues to expect send completion for those packets. This situation results in gradual
reduction of # of usable descriptors for igssn which causes performance degradation over a
period and eventually the igssn interface experiences a hang.

might result in a failure to run down the adapter that can only be recovered by rebooting the
system.
