1 Announcement This document describes features, limitations, and known issues of the HP Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) Multiplexer (MUX) product. The AD278A/AD279A PCI MUX product is compliant with Restriction of Hazardous Substance (RoHS) standard. The AD278A/AD279A PCI MUX is a high-speed serial communication multiple port product.
Known Problems The pmux_diag/pmux_stty loop back test may not respond, if a terminal is connected to a pci_mux1 port and the pmux_diag/pmux_stty loop back test is run from that terminal on the same pci_mux1 port. Workaround HP recommends customers NOT to run pmux_diag/pmux_stty loop back tests on a pci_mux1 port if the pmux_diag/pmux_stty is running on a terminal, which uses the same pci_mux1 port. Limitations Table 1 lists the slot limitations of AD278A PCI MUX 8-port adapter.
