8.4.2 Guest-based VLANs (AVIO)
To use guest-based VLANs, you must first enable the tagged VLAN IDs on the vswitch port. To
enable the tagged VLAN IDs, use the hpvmnet -S <vsw> -i command. To disable the VLAN
IDs, use the hpvmnet command with the -o option.
On a vswitch port, you cannot use a VLAN ID as both an untagged VLAN ID and a tagged VLAN
ID at the same time. That is, a VLAN ID used with the hpvmnet command with the -u option
cannot be used with the hpvmnet -i option.
Guest-based VLANs are supported with HP-UX 11i v3 guests only.
The following commands show the process to create guest based vlan.
To create untagged vlan id on port:
hpvmnet -S vmlan4 -u portid:8:vlanid:102
