Peripheral Devices Configuration for Hardware
The Peripheral Devices Configuration application for hardware enables system administrators
to view all the devices on a host system and configure the PCI/OLRAD slots for that system.
Features
Peripheral Devices enables the user to:
• View detailed information about cards, devices, and slots, including all available
PCI/OLRAD slots in an easy-to-read format.
• Add, delete, or replace PCI cards without shutting down the host system.
• Create special device files dynamically.
• Generate a Critical Resource Analysis report that lists resources lost if a slot is powered
down. These resources are grouped according to their impact on the system.
• Light or extinguish the attention LED of various slots that support online actions.
Auditing and Security Attributes Configuration
The HP-UX Auditing and Secu rity Attributes Configuration application is used to manage
security attributes of local and Network Information Service (NIS) users. In addition, the

application. This is made possible because the Auditing and Secu rity Attributes Configuration
application is tightly integrated with the Accounts for Users and Groups application.
Features
Auditing and Security Attributes Configuration enables you to:
• Configure system-wide values of security attributes
• Configure per-user values of security attributes of local users and NIS use rs
• Supports long user name
• View lock information of security attributes of local users and NIS users
• Configure and manage auditing in a cluster
• Audit events
• Add custom events for auditing
• Audit system calls and users
• View audit trails
• Set audit monitor and log parameters
Serviceguard Manager
The Serviceguard Manager application enables the administrators to configure and manage
the local HP Serviceguard cluster. Along with Distributed Systems Administration Utilities
(DSAU), which provide command fan out, consolidated log viewing, and cluster
synchronization capabilities, Serviceguard Manager simplifies the often-complex task of
cluster management.
Features
Serviceguard Manager enables the user to:
