Features and Fixes in Recent Releases
The following features and fixes are listed, beginning with the most recent release:
For the HP CIFS Client A.01.09.03
This release contains the following:
PAM-NTLM 64-bit libraries
This release of the HP CIFS Client provides 64-bit PAM-NTLM libraries.
NOTE The fix for PAM-NTLM 64-bit libraries applies only to HP-UX 11i v2 and
later.
Sticky bit set on the /var/opt/cifsclient/krb5_tmp directory
The directory’s sticky bit is now set on both installations and updates of the HP CIFS
Client. This prevents users from deleting files they do not own, in the directory.
Using mount -F cifs command logs out the current user
A bug has been fixed where the mount -F cifs command logs out the current user if the
user is already logged in to the server being mounted.
CIFS entries in /etc/fstab do not support the noauto mount option
This fix enables the CIFS Client to properly handle the noauto option for CIFS file-system
entries in the fstab(4) file.
Cannot reconnect to an unshared-then-reshared server directory
This fix enables the CIFS Client to automatically re-establish its connections to a shared
directory that has been unceremoniously unshared and then reshared by the server. This
capability is consistent with Windows clients.
The cifsclient cores when running the cifsclient stop command
This fix resolves a problem where the CIFS Client daemon cores, while attempting to shut
down, if the mountpoint for a mounted directory has been removed
The cifslist -U command fails to list user database with over 900 entries
