HP-UX 11i Java™ JDK/JRE Version 7.0.09 Release Notes

The HotSpot JVM for HP-UX 11i for HP Integrity systems is suitable for both client and
server workloads. For client-side workloads, -XX:+ClientApp will invoke the JVM with
configuration options that suit client-side applications.
The JDK/JRE 7.0.09 HotSpot 7.0.09 Edition supports the APIs core to the Java SE
platform, among them Remote Method Invocation (RMI), nonblocking I/O APIs, the
Collections Framework, and IPv6. The Java Platform version 7.0 API Specification is

This HP JDK/JRE 7.0.09 release includes the functionality, enhancements, and fixed
defects equivalent to Oracle releases up to and including Java 7u51, as well as certain
HP platform-specific fixed defects. The HP JDK/JRE 7.0.09 release passes all of the tests
in Oracle's Java Compatibility Kit test suite (JCK 7).
Note that HP occasionally backports defect and security fixes from a later Oracle release
that has not yet been merged into our current sources. Therefore, an Oracle defect might
be fixed in an HP release even though the Oracle release that contains the fix is not part
of the HP release. See the “Defects fixed in the 7.0.09 release ” table and “Security fixes
in the 7.0.09 release” table for all fixes in this release.
