HP-UX Software Assistant Release Notes (December 2011)

2 SWA Known Problems
This chapter contains known problems with the HP-UX Software Assistant releases.
Version C.02.85
When running SWA from HP SIM, the cached Options information written by earlier versions of
SWA is not readable by C.02.85. You might have to repopulate the report options on the SWA
Options page in HP SIM when running C.02.85 for the first time.
Version C.02.80
NOTE: This item was fixed in the C.02.85 release.
The HP SIM summary table will present data sorted in lexicographic (1, 200, 3) order rather than
numeric (1, 3, 200) order.
Version C.02.30
When creating a scheduled SWA task, the HP SIM Refine Schedule: features Run until and Run a
maximum of are not available. A work-around for this issue is to use Tasks & LogsView All
Scheduled Tasks... to edit the scheduled task.
Version C.02.26
NOTE: These items were fixed in the C.02.30 release.
Simultaneous analysis of a system by multiple SWA sessions can result in that system being
inaccessible to one or more of the SWA sessions. Therefore, the following are not supported for
multiple SWA sessions with identical target systems:
Multiple SIM sessions
SWA jobs running from multiple browser tabs
Version C.02.11
NOTE: This item was fixed in the C.02.26 release.
SWA catalog downloads can fail when using the HTTPS protocol, which is the default. An error
similar to the following might be displayed:
ERROR: Certificate issued to VeriSign Class 3 Secure Server CA was not signed
by the same certificate as the certificate revocation list (CRL)
"http://crl.verisign.com/RSASecureServer.crl", specified by the
"crl_url" extended option. It may be necessary to disable the CRL
checking with the "crl_check" option.
You can temporarily work around this issue by setting the crl_check extended option to false:
-x crl_check=false.
For more information on SWA extended options and CRL checking, see the HP-UX Software Assistant
Administration Guide available at http://www.hp.com/go/swa-docs.
Version C.02.00
NOTE: This item was fixed in the C.02.26 release.
HP SIM 5.2 logs SWA inventory data within SIM memory. SIM can encounter performance issues
and ultimately hang when the amount of logged data exceeds the amount of memory configured
