The server is currently logged to the Fabric through Port 1 of the upstream Brocade SAN switch. This Brocade port 1
is physically connected to the VC FlexFabric module 1 uplink port X1.
To verify the VC uplink port failover:
1. Simulate a failure of VC fabric uplink port X1 by disabling the upstream Brocade port 1.
Note: When the link is recovered from the SAN switch, there is no failback to the original port. The host stays
logged in to the current uplink port. The next host that logs on is balanced to another available port on the VC-
FC module.
2. The VC Uplink Port X1 is now disconnected.
