Maximum number of c-Class enclosures connected to a HP 3PAR storage system
Connecting several BladeSystem c-Class enclosures to the same 3PAR Storage system is fully supported. The
number of host ports available on the HP 3PAR controller nodes defines the maximum number of enclosures
supported.
With 4 controller nodes, a 3PAR StoreServ 10400 can support up to 96 Fibre Channel Host Ports. This means that
24 enclosures can be connected to the storage system when using 4 Virtual Connect uplinks per enclosure.
With 2 controller nodes, a 3PAR StoreServ 7200 can support up to 12 Fibre Channel Host Ports. This means that 3
enclosures can be connected to the storage system when using 4 Virtual Connect uplinks per enclosure.

Important!: To avoid storage networking issues and potential loss of data associated with duplicate WWNs on the
3PAR system, all VC Domains connected to the same SPAR Storage System must use different HP Pre-Defined
ranges of WWN addresses.
