HP Virtual Connect 4.01 Release Notes

Issues and workarounds 8
Issue
Frames that are sent and received by server blades that are larger than 1518 do not increment the user
visible Ethernet counter: rfc1757_StatsOversizePkts.
Issue
The SetVCBase method fails when a Network Access Group is configured in a server profile.
Issue
A GUI user with Network-only privileges is allowed to add profile connections.
Issue
The GUI copy profile does not correctly handle MAC/WWNs.
Issue
LUN loss might occur when VC interacts with an HP LPe1205 HBA.
Issue
Cisco DAC cables are reporting as "Linked/Uncertified" in Virtual Connect Firmware. This is due to revision
changes on the Cisco cables manufactured by TYCO, but sold under the same orderable part number by
Cisco. It affects the following cables currently supported by HP:
Cisco 3 m 10G SFP+ Twinax cable assembly (SFP-H10GB-CU3M)
Cisco 5 m 10G SFP+ Twinax cable assembly (SFP-H10GB-CU5M)
Cisco 7 m copper active Twinax cables (SFP-H10GB-ACU7M)
Cisco 10 m copper active Twinax cables (SFP-H10GB-ACU10M)
HP C-series SFP+ to SFP+ Active Copper 7.0 m Direct Attach Cable (QK701A)
HP C-series SFP+ to SFP+ Active Copper 10.0 m Direct Attach Cable (QK702A)
Issue
If a VC domain is defined to use "VC-Defined" MAC addresses and "Factory-default" WWNs, then the VC
GUI reports an incorrect WWN for the FCoE connection in the server profile. The storage through the FCoE
connection is not visible to servers if provisioning is done based on the WWN shown in the VC profile. In this
case, the server is able to log in to the fabric, but LUNs are not accessible.
Workaround
The OA reports the correct WWNs on the CNA port. The server also reports the correct WWNs. Use
the OA or server reported WWN to provision the storage.
Issue
After configuring LDAP authentication, users logging in that do not have Domain role permissions receive an
error when attempting to access the Local Users page. The error is only a notification because Local Users
settings cannot be modified by users who do not possess Domain role permissions.
Issue
If a BL870c i2 server is present in bays 3 and 4 of a C3000 enclosure, then the Hardware Overview page
in VC Manager does not display the correct graphical picture of the server. VC Manager manages the server
properly. It is only the graphical image that is incorrect.
