Defining a Server Profile with FC Connections, via CLI
You can copy and paste the following commands into an SSH based CLI session (the command syntax might be
different with an earlier VC version).
# Create and Assign Server Profile “Profile_1” to server bay 1
add profile Profile_1
set enet-connection Profile_1 1 pxe=Enabled Network=1-management-vlan
set enet-connection Profile_1 2 pxe=Disabled Network=2-management-vlan
set fc-connection Profile_1 1 Fabric=Fabric-A-1 Speed=Auto
set fc-connection Profile_1 2 Fabric=Fabric-B-1 Speed=Auto
assign profile Profile_1 enc0:1
Defining a Boot from SAN Server Profile using the GUI
1. On the Virtual Connect Server Profile screen, click the Fibre Channel Boot Parameters checkbox to configure
the Boot from SAN parameters.
2. A new section pops up, click the drop-down arrow in the SAN Boot box for Port 1, then select the boot order:
Primary.
3. Enter a valid Boot Target name (WWN) and LUN number for the Primary Port.
