Hardware and firmware requirements
HP Virtual Connect firmware
The latest HP Virtual Connect firmware package (version 2.12) contains the following firmware versions:
 HP VC-Enet version 2.12
 HP VC 4Gb FC version 1.32
 HP VC 8Gb FC version 1.00
The HP BladeSystem c-Class Virtual Connect Firmware v2.12 is available with the following packages:
 Ethernet plus 4Gb FC Edition—contains the firmware for the following:
o HP VC-Enet modules
o HP VC 4Gb FC modules
o HP VC 8Gb 20-Port FC modules
 Ethernet plus 8Gb FC Edition—contains the firmware for the following:
o HP VC-Enet modules
o HP VC 8Gb 24-Port FC modules
 Ethernet plus 4Gb and 8Gb FC Edition—this package is used by the HP BladeSystem c-Class Virtual
Connect Support Utility. It contains the firmware for the following:
o HP VC-Enet modules
o HP VC 4Gb FC modules
o HP VC 8Gb 24-Port FC modules
IMPORTANT: When updating firmware, update each domain with the entire firmware
package, which includes the individual VC-Enet and VC-FC firmware. Updating only the VC-
Enet firmware or only the VC-FC firmware is not supported.
