Enhancements
Version 4.10 of Virtual Connect contains support for the following enhancements:
• Manageability enhancements:
o VC management support for IPv6
IMPORTANT:
Use of IPv6 requires, at a minimum, the SPP 2013.09.0 (B) release. The minimum
OA firmware version required is 4.01, and the minimum iLO 4 firmware version required is 1.30.
o Ability to hide unused FlexNICs. The FlexNICs (physical functions) that do not map to profile
connections are not enumerated in the OS as network interfaces.
IMPORTANT: Use of the hide unused FlexNICs feature requires, at a minimum, the adapter
firmware from SPP 2013.02.0 or later releases.
o Auto-deployment feature, which allows for the configuration of a VC domain from a centralized
location using DHCP and TFTP
o Improved accommodation of non-HP DACs and FC transceivers. The port status condition "Non-HP"
replaces the "Uncertified" port status condition.
• SR-IOV support
o Ability to enable SR-IOV on certain FLBs and mezzanine cards for Gen8 servers and LOMs for the
HP ProLiant BL620c G7 and HP ProLiant BL680c G7 Server Blades. For more information, see
"Prerequisites (on page 8)."
IMPORTANT: Use of SR-IOV requires, at a minimum, the adapter firmware from SPP 2013.09.0
(B) or later releases.
• The following HP products are now supported:
o The new or enhanced BLc Gen8 servers released with SPP 2013.09.0 (B). For more information,

o The HP FlexFabric 10Gb 2-port 534FLB Adapter
o The HP FlexFabric 10Gb 2-port 534M Adapter
o The HP QMH2672 16Gb FC HBA for BladeSystem c-Class
