Fixes
The VC 4.10 release resolves the following issues:
• The Domain Setup Wizard did not allow changes to the Advanced User Settings to be saved. The
settings could be updated, but when you clicked Next, the changes were not saved and no error
message was displayed. These settings included Require Strong Passwords, Minimum Password Length,
Primary Login Method, and Session Timeout.
• During an Import Enclosure Recovery, VC could not read FRU data from Server in Bay 1, which caused
a FC outage for the server.
• NC554FLB FCOE LOM did not boot from SAN after an efuse reset.
• VC profile showed node WWN instead of port WWN.
• HP VC 8Gb 24-Port FC Module dropped the second FDISC ACC with an identical OXID login.
• HP VC 8Gb 24-Port FC Module might encounter module failure during a V-migration under HPUX.
• When exercising FC Uplink Failover on the HP VC 8Gb 24-Port FC Module, the first FLOGI was
dropped because the module N-port was set to 255.
• Frames larger than 1518 bytes that were sent and received by server blades did not increment the user
visible Ethernet counter: rfc1757_StatsOversizePkts.
• User password length limitation (31 characters) did not match with the documentation (40 characters).
Password length limitation is now 40 characters.
• Cisco DAC cables were reporting as "Linked/Uncertified" in Virtual Connect Firmware. This was due to
revision changes on the Cisco cables that were manufactured by TYCO but sold under the same
orderable part number by Cisco. It affected the following cables currently supported by HP:
o Cisco 3 m 10G SFP+ Twinax cable assembly (SFP-H10GB-CU3M)
o Cisco 5 m 10G SFP+ Twinax cable assembly (SFP-H10GB-CU5M)
o Cisco 7 m copper active Twinax cables (SFP-H10GB-ACU7M)
o Cisco 10 m copper active Twinax cables (SFP-H10GB-ACU10M)
o HP C-series SFP+ to SFP+ Active Copper 7.0 m Direct Attach Cable (QK701A)
o HP C-series SFP+ to SFP+ Active Copper 10.0 m Direct Attach Cable (QK702A)
• LUN loss might occur when VC interacted with an HP LPe1205 HBA.
• A user with Network-only privileges was allowed to add profile connections.
• Blade CNA FCoE connectivity with FlexFabric could be intermittently affected when connected to
modular Cisco SAN switches due to FCID Area address assignment.
• The GUI Copy profile did not handle MAC/WWNs correctly.
• If a VC domain was defined to use "VC-Defined" MAC addresses and "Factory-default" WWNs, then
the VC GUI reported an incorrect WWN for the FCoE connection in the server profile. The storage
through the FCoE connection was not visible to servers if they were provisioned based on the WWN
shown in the VC profile. In this case, servers were able to log in to the fabric, but LUNs were not
accessible.
