o This command allows you to check the LLDP/DCBX negotiation error.
o If PFC is enabled on different CoS values between VC and the Nexus switch, then a negotiation error will
occur.
o Absence of operating configuration indicates that the peer does not support the DCBX TLV or that there is a
negotiation error.
show logging last 20
o This command displays the last 20 system log messages of the device.
o Always very helpful, the Nexus logs can provide useful messages to help the troubleshooting.
show logging | grep vfc
o This command is useful to check the status of the virtual interface used for the FCoE traffic.
o The vfc can be up, down, administratively down, etc.
o A “down but waiting for flogi” can mean that the setup is ok but no blade server has been turned on yet.
The DCBX counters
located at the very bottom
should show incremental
numbers and no error
