Testing the loss of uplink ports
This section provides details for testing the loss of uplink ports in a VC SAN Fabric, confirming the port failover in the
same VC SAN Fabric, testing the loss of a complete VC SAN Fabric (all ports), and checking the working status of the
MPIO Driver.
Note: To find more information about MPIO, visit the MPIO manuals web page.
This test is made on a Boot from SAN server running Windows 2008 R2 with a MPIO Driver installed for HP EVA. This
server VC profile has a redundant FCoE connection to reach the EVA.
The WWPN of this server is 50:06:0B:00:C3:1A:04 for port 1and 50:06:0B:00:C3:1A:06 for port 2.
Each SAN Fabric has been configured with two uplink ports (X1 & X2) belonging to two different modules.
The HP MPIO for EVA properly detects the four active paths to the C:\ drive.
