15 Upgrading firmware
IMPORTANT:
The X9720 system is shipped with the correct firmware and drivers. Do not upgrade firmware or
drivers unless the upgrade is recommended by HP Support or is part of an X9720 patch provided
on the HP web site.
Firmware update summary
When the X9720 Network Storage System software is first loaded, it automatically updates the
firmware for some components. The following table describes the firmware actions and status for each
component.
