6.1.4 HP IBRIX X9000 Storage Release Notes

Antivirus support information
The 6.1 documentation is missing the following information about the quarantine utility:
The “Configuring Antivirus support” section in the 6.1 version of the HP IBRIX X9000 File System
User Guide does not contain the following text:
All infected files are quarantined by default. Use the quarantine utility (ibrix_avquarantine)
to manage the quarantined infected files, such as to move, delete, list or reset the infected files.
For more information, see the HP IBRIX X9000 Command Line Interface Reference Guide.
The ibrix_avquarantine command is not documented in the 6.1 version of the reference
guide (it is in the 6.2 and later versions). This command is used to manage infected files that were
quarantined; the syntax and options are:
ibrix_avquarantine -L|-R|-D|-M -f <FSNAME > -p
<COMMA-SEPARATED_PATH_TO_FILES>
<FSNAME> is the name of the file system.
<COMMA-SEPARATED_PATH_TO_FILES> is a comma-separated list of paths to the
quarantined files.
-D: Deletes quarantined files.
-L: Lists quarantined files on a particular file system.
-M: Moves quarantined files.
-R: Resets quarantined files.
The following are examples of command use:
List quarantined files:
ibrix_avquarantine -L -f <FSNAME >
Reset quarantined files (resets the infected bits so you can rescan the file):
ibrix_avquarantine -R -f <FSNAME > [-p <name1>, <name 2> ,...]
Delete quarantined files:
ibrix_avquarantine -D -f <FSNAME > [-p <name1>, <name 2> ,...]
Move quarantined files outside of the AV-enabled file system so they can be cleaned:
ibrix_avquarantine -M -f <FSNAME > [-p <name1>, <name 2>, ] d
<Destination_Directory>
NOTE: You cannot copy or move an infected file outside an AV-enabled file system using
basic Linux commands, such as mv and cp. You must use the move option in the quarantine
utility.
