Discover nodes on HP SIM or IRSS
For X9000 systems, HP Systems Insight Manager (SIM) uses the SNMP protocol to discover and identify
systems automatically. If desired, you can configure HP SIM to discover system-specific network
segments, a targeted host, or IP address ranges. For IRSS, see the HP Insight Remote Support Standard

Configure Entitlements
Configure the CMS/IRSS software to enable remote support for X9000 systems.

Custom field settings for X9720
Servers are discovered with their IP addresses. When a server is discovered, edit the system
properties on the HP Systems Insight Manager. Locate the Entitlement Information section on the
Contract and Warranty Information page and update the following:
Enter X9000 as the Custom Delivery ID
Select the System Country Code
Enter the appropriate Customer Contact and Site Information details
Custom field settings for X9720 Onboard Administrator
The Onboard Administrator (OA) is discovered with OA IP addresses. When the OA is discovered,
edit the system properties on the HP Systems Insight Manager. Locate the Entitlement Information
section of the Contract and Warranty Information page and update the following:
Enter the X9000 enclosure product number as the Customer-Entered product number
Enter X9000 as the Custom Delivery ID
Select the System Country Code
Enter the appropriate Customer Contact and Site Information details
