Viewing parity initialization status
Syntax
hpsp_spt -ps
hpsp_spt --parityStatus
Description
Lists all volumes with their parity initialization status and progress.
Table 8 Job statuses
DescriptionJob status
The volume has a parity initialization job in its job queue and is running.RUNNING
The volume does not have any job in its current job queue for parity initialization.
INACTIVE status also means that the volume either has completed a parity initialization job or
it has not started the job.
INACTIVE
Table 9 Exit statuses
DescriptionExit status
No volume has a parity initialization job RUNNING. This means that all volumes have either
completed the job or have not started.
0
An error occurred while performing parity initialization.1
One or more volumes have a parity initialization job RUNNING.2
NOTE: In a pool containing multiple volumes, a parity initialization job is started for one volume
at a time per pool. After provisioning completes, each pool has at least one volume in the RUNNING
state while the others remain in the INACTIVE state. A parity initialization job is considered complete
when all volumes report their status as INACTIVE.
