Procedure
CAUTION:
When handling system components, there is a danger that
equipment may be damaged by electrostatic discharge (ESD).
Use proper anti-static protection at all times:
Keep the replacement component in the ESD bag until needed.
Wear an ESD wrist strap grounded to an unpainted surface
of the enclosure.
Touch an unpainted surface of the enclosure before handling
the component.
Never touch the connector pins.
1. If there are already four server blades in the system and any PDUs
are not connected to a power receptacle, you must connect them
now. All PDUs must be powered when there are four or more server
blades in the enclosure.
2. On the front of the blade enclosure, remove the blank from the front
of the next available server blade bay.
3. Prepare the server blade for installation.
