Check Enable Data Validation to schedule periodic scans on the file system. Use the default schedule,
or select Modify to open the Data Validation Scan Schedule dialog box and configure your own
schedule.

You can also enable data retention when creating a new file system from the CLI. Use ibrix_fs

retenMaxPeriod=<period>,retenAutoCommitPeriod=<period>"
