6.1 HP IBRIX X9000 Network Storage System File System User Guide (TA768-96061, June 2012)

On the CLI, use the ibrix_avconfig command to configure Antivirus support. Use the ibrix_av
command to update Antivirus definitions or view statistics.
Adding or removing external virus scan engines
The Antivirus software is run on external virus scan engines. You will need to add these systems
to the Antivirus configuration.
IMPORTANT: HP recommends that you add a minimum of two virus scan engines to provide
load balancing for scan requests and to prevent loss of scanning if one virus scan engine becomes
unavailable.
On the GUI, select Virus Scan Engines from the lower Navigator to open the Virus Scan Engines
panel, and then click Add on that panel. On the Add dialog box, enter the IP address of the external
scan engine and the ICAP port number configured on that system.
NOTE: The default port number for ICAP is 1344. HP recommends that you use this port, unless
it is already in use by another activity. You may need to open this port for TCP/UDP in your firewall.
To remove an external virus scan engine from the configuration, select that system on the Virus
Scan Engines panel and click Delete.
To add an external virus scan engine from the CLI, use the following command:
ibrix_avconfig -a -S -I IPADDR -p PORTNUM
The port number specified here must match the ICAP port number configured on the virus scan
engines.
Use the following command to remove an external virus scan engine:
ibrix_avconfig -r -S -I IPADDR
Enabling or disabling Antivirus on X9000 file systems
On the GUI, select AV Enable/Disable FileSystems from the lower Navigator to open the AV Enable
Disable panel, which lists the file systems in the cluster. Select the file system to be enabled, click

The CLI commands are as follows:
