Enhancements in the 6.3 release
The intent of the 6.3 release was to resolve key issues found in earlier releases and to introduce the
expanded HTTP-HP StoreAll REST API functionality to include the new object mode as well as a “File
Compatibility” mode. HTTP-StoreAll REST API shares created in StoreAll 6.2.x are now referred to as
HTTP-StoreAll REST API shares created in file-compatible mode in this release.
The object mode functionality provides concepts similar to OpenStack Object Storage API to support
programmatic access to user-stored files. Users allowed to use this share are represented by an account
on the file system. Users can store an infinite amount of objects in a container created and each object
is assigned object key which is mapped to a relative file system path name.
The ibrix_collect command has also been expanded so that the field can create add-on scripts
that capture custom StoreAll and operating system commands and logs. See the HP StoreAll Storage
CLI Reference Guide for additional information.
See “Fixes in the 6.3 release (page 5) for a list of fixes in this release.
Fixes in the 6.3 release
When using the e date/timestamp” option in the ibrix_reten_adm command, the command
now correctly handles date strings that include spaces.
When removing legal hold from a file (either in the Management Console or with the
ibrix_reten_adm command), invalid error message about autocommit no longer display.
Administrators were unable to add a user as nasxxx in SMB Authentication.
Very high Java CPU consumption caused the active Fusion Manager to become unusable. This
issue has been resolved.
Share administrators were unable to add users and groups with parenthesis and ampersands in
their name to an SMB share.
The ibrix_collect command now supports a larger collection size.
Users were unable to add segments and extend the file system when it was in compatibility mode.
This issue has been resolved.
The validation scan now validates files in hidden directories on file systems with retention and
autocommit enabled.
The ibrix_vs -a command would fail on combined 9730+9720 and 9320+9730 clusters.
Thousands of /tmp/tmp*.lvmtool directories were being created.
StoreAll nodes were not discoverable when the Fusion Manager IP was used in HP Systems Insight
Manager (SIM).
