6.3 HP StoreAll Storage File System User Guide (TA768-96093, June 2013)

IMPORTANT: A snapshot reclamation task is required for each file system containing snap trees
that have scheduled snapshots. If a snapshot reclamation task does not already exist, you will need
to configure the task. See “Reclaiming file system space previously used for snapshots (page 245).
Modifying a snapshot schedule
You can change the snapshot schedule at any time. On the Snap Trees panel, select the appropriate
snap tree, select Modify, and make your changes on the Modify Snap Tree dialog box.
Managing software snapshots
To view the snapshots for a specific directory tree, select the appropriate directory tree on the Snap
Trees panel, and then select Snapshots from the lower Navigator. The Snapshots panel lists snapshots
for the directory tree and allows you to take a new snapshot or delete an existing snapshot. Use
the filter at the bottom of the panel to select the snapshots you want to view.
The following CLI commands display information about snapshots and snapshot directory trees:
List all snapshots, or only the snapshots on a specific file system or snapshot directory tree:
ibrix_snap -l -s [-f FSNAME [-P SnapTreePath]]
List all snapshot directory trees, or only the snapshot directory trees on a specific file system:
ibrix_snap -l [-f FSNAME]
Taking an on-demand snapshot
To take an on-demand snapshot of a directory tree, select the directory tree on the Snap Trees
panel and then click Create on the List of Snapshots panel.
