Troubleshooting the Performance Statistics tool
• Data is not collected. If data is not being gathered in the common directory for the Statistics
Manager (/local/statstool/histstats/ by default), restart the Performance Statistics
tool processes on all nodes. See “Controlling Performance Statistics tool processes” (page 344).
• Installation issues. Check the /usr/local/ibrix/log/statstool/stats-install.log
and try to fix the condition, or send the log to HP Support.
• For any other issues, send the following configuration files to HP support:
/usr/local/ibrix/stats/stats.conf◦
◦ /usr/local/ibrix/stats/statstool.conf
Log files
Logging information can be found in the following files:
• /usr/local/ibrix/log/statstool/stats.log for detailed logging for the Performance
Statistics tool. (The information includes detailed exceptions and traceback messages.) The
logs are rolled over at midnight every day and only seven days of statistics logs are retained.
• The default /var/log/messages log file also includes logging for the Performance Statistics
tool, but the messages are short.
