Enter the required name service in this field . Supported name services are NIS, FILES, and
LDAP.
1st Name Service
If more than one name service is required, you can enter an additional name service in this
field. Supported name services are NIS, FILES, and LDAP.
2nd Name Service
If more than two name services is required, you can enter an additional name service in this
field. Supported name services are NIS, FILES, and LDAP.
3rd Name Service
Check this box to search the IDs of the first user/group name for matching characters and case
sensitivity. No ID is returned if there is no case sensitive name match.
NOTE: You may select either Name Search Case Sensitivity or Use first Case-insensitive name
match, but not both.
Name Search Case
Sensitivity
Check this box to search the IDs of the first user/group name for matching characters
independent of case . If no matching entry is found, the ID of the last valid entry found is used.
NOTE: You may select either Name Search Case Sensitivity or Use first Case-insensitive name
match, but not both.
Use first
case-insensitive name
match
Check this box to deny a User without an account ID to establish a session on the HP-SMB
server.
Don’t allow client
logins
If the primary group of a User is unassigned, check this box to skip enumeration of users and
groups.
Don’t assign an ID
Click Next. Depending on the values entered in the name service text fields on the ID Mapping
Name Service Selection screen, clicking Next will take you to one of the following screens:
• “LDAP ID Mapping” (page 72)
• “NIS ID Mapping” (page 73)
• “FILES ID Mapping” (page 73)
