8. Upgrade the firmware on each server in the cluster as described in “Upgrading firmware”
(page 50).
NOTE: When updating a 9730 system, use the following command to update the chassis
firmware:
hpsp_fmt -f chassis --ignorediskdualpathcheck
Including the --ignorediskdualpathcheck ensures the firmware update can occur while
the system is offline.
9. Mount the ISO image to the /media directory, as described in step 4. You must mount the
ISO image on the node running the active Fusion Manager (that you recorded in step 2).
10. Rerun the upgrade script to continue with the StoreAll OS Software upgrade across all nodes:
/media/ibrix/auto_v65_upgrade
11. After the upgrade script completes, verify the version with the following command:
ibrix_version –l
Ensure that all nodes report the same 6.5.1 version.
NOTE: If the Linux operating system upgrade fails, first retry the upgrade starting from step
4.
12. Follow the post–upgrade steps provided in “After the upgrade” (page 10).
After the upgrade
Complete the following steps:
1. If there are any errors, check the upgrade and RPM logs:
• Upgrade logs:
The main upgrade log can be found in the following file:
/usr/local/ibrix/log/install/ibrixupgrade.log
If you upgraded from a StoreAll release 6.3.x and earlier, the upgrade script copied the
checkpoints and logs from all nodes in a time-stamped folder found in the
/usr/local/ibrix/log/install directory. In case of an error condition or if the
upgrade script exits prematurely, the interim logs/checkpoints are be available at the
following path:
/usr/local/ibrix/log/install/v65_upgrade
• RPM log:
/usr/local/ibrix/log/install/rpm.log
2. This step applies only if you are using Auditing. The forever option (referred to as Never
Expire on the StoreAll Management Console) is no longer available, as of StoreAll version
6.5.1. If you do not specify a policy, the default policy is 45 days. Policies previously set to
forever (Never Expire), are changed to 45 days. To view the settings for your policies:
• CLI: ibrix_audit_reports -g
• StoreAll Management Console: Select Filesystems in the upper Navigation pane. Then,
in the lower Navigation pane select Express Query→Auditing.
3. If you are upgrading from a StoreAll release earlier than 6.3, upgrade your clients:
• Linux StoreAll clients. See “Upgrading Linux StoreAll clients” (page 11).
• Windows StoreAll clients. See “Upgrading Windows StoreAll clients” (page 12).
