(available since version 6.1), HP recommends that you archive events before you initiate

ibrix_event i n 2147483647 > /local/ibrix_event_i_all.log
ibrix_event l n 2147483647 > /local/ibrix_event_l_all.log
Upgrading from StoreAll versions 6.3.x or earlier
IMPORTANT: The 6.5.1 upgrade is an automated offline upgrade. Follow the steps in this section
to complete the upgrade unless instructed by HP support to follow the manual offline upgrade steps
in “Manual offline upgrades for StoreAll software 6.1.5 to 6.5.1” (page 61).
This upgrade method is supported only for StoreAll OS Software releases 6.1.4, 6.1.5, 6.2.x,
and 6.3.x. The platform operating system is upgraded to Red Hat version 5.8 and the StoreAll OS
Software is upgraded to the latest version of 6.5.x.
NOTE: Make sure you have completed all steps in the upgrade checklist (Table 1 (page 6)).
Complete the following steps:
1. If you are upgrading as part of the initial controlled release, you will be registered by HP
Support and provided with a link to download the software. If you are upgrading as part of
the general release, you can register to obtain the software as follows, once the software is
made available:
a. Go to http://www.hp.com/support/StoreAllDownloads.
b. Select your product model and then select your operating system.
c. Under Software, locate the latest 6.5.1 software. Select Obtain software, which directs
you to a site to complete your registration. You will be contacted by HP Support with the
download instructions.
2. Log in to the cluster node running the active Fusion Manager using the node's local IP address
(do not use a VIF):
ibrix_fm i
Be sure to record the name of the node that is running the active Fusion Manager. You must
ensure you are using the same node in step 9.
NOTE: If you log in using a VIF, the connection will be broken during the upgrade when
the StoreAll services are stopped (which stops the StoreAll OS software).
3. Copy the Quick Restore ISO for this release into the /local directory.
4. Mount the ISO image to the /media directory, as shown in the following example:
mkdir /media
mount -r -o loop /local/<image_name.iso> /media
5. Run the following upgrade script:
/media/ibrix/auto_v65_upgrade
The script upgrades the Linux operating system and platform packages across all nodes. Once
the Linux operating system upgrade is complete, the script automatically reboots the other
nodes n in the cluster. You will need to manually reboot the node that triggered the upgrade
in the next step.
6. After the script exits and you are prompted, reboot the current node.
7. Once the current node is available after the reboot, log back into the node.
