7 Troubleshooting
General tool failures
Platform string from Repository is null or empty, exiting
Related error messages:
0x1A01: Firmware recipe file /etc/opt/hp/platform/firmware/Repository.xml does not exist.
0x1A02: Firmware recipe file /etc/opt/hp/platform/firmware/Repository.xml is not readable.
0x1A03: Error processing firmware recipe file /etc/opt/hp/platform/firmware/Repository.xml -
please check the file is well-formed XML.
0x1A04: Smart Component file does not exist or is not readable: <smart-component filename>.
These issues might occur due to either erroneous FMT installation or unexpected manual deletion
of or tampering with FMT-installed files.
Suggested action
Reinstall the FMT RPM file. The FMT RPM file is bundled with QR DVD and can be located at the
following directory:
/usr/local/ibrix/installation/ibrix/
distrib/ibrix/RHEL5/x86_64/platform_rpms/<platform>
Use the following command to reinstall the FMT RPM file:
# rpm –ivh –force <FMT rpm>
Any operation failed with Error: 0x1A0C

These issues might occur due to erroneous installation of FMT-dependent tools or unexpected manual

Suggested action
Reinstall the platform tools RPM. The platform tools RPM bundled with QR DVD can be located at
the /usr/local/ibrix/installation/ibrix/distrib/ibrix/RHEL5/x86_64/
platform_rpms/PSP/ directory.
Use the following command to reinstall the platform tools RPM file:
# rpm –ivh –force /usr/local/ibrix/installation/ibrix/distrib/ibrix/
RHEL5/x86_64/platform_rpms/PSP/hpsp-platform-tools-<version>.x86_64.rpm
