HP Storage Platform Firmware Management Tool for StoreAll User Guide

Bad Enclosure I/O module(s) associated with the reported server(s)
Storage controller of reported server(s) not seeing the enclosure I/O module(s)
Suggested action
1. Ensure that all the hardware, especially the SAS switch, and the enclosure I/O module(s) of
the reported server(s) are seated properly.
2. Ensure the proper connectivity of SAS cables between the enclosure and the SAS switch.
Please refer to Platform Overview Guide for more details on SAS connectivity procedures.
3. In the case of an issue with the storage controller, reboot the affected server nodes (by following
the server failover steps given in the Administrator Guide) and retry the operation.
4. In the case of a bad SAS switch or a bad enclosure I/O module, please replace the affected
hardware by following the FRU procedures outlined in the Field Repair Guide.
ILO2 flash failed with Error: 0x106A
Error Message: Flash failed for iLO2. Please check whether "hpilo" driver is loaded and
"hp-snmp-agents" service is running. If not, bring them up and retry the operation. If it still fails,
check the logs /var/log/hp/platform/fmt/firmware.log and /var/cpq/Component.log for further
details.
Either the hpilo driver or the hp-snmp-agents service is stopped by some process.
Suggested action
1. Check to see if the hpilo driver is running by using the command:
# lsmod | grep hpilo
If the hpilo is not listed, start the hpilo driver by using the command:
# insmod hpilo
2. Check to see if the service hp-snmp-agents is loaded by using the command:
# /etc/init.d/hp-snmp-agents status
If this command shows any hp-snmp process not running, start/restart the service by using
the command:
# /etc/init.d/hp-snmp-agents restart
3. Retry the ilo2 flash operation:
# hpsp_fmt f c ilo2
4. If the flash still fails, try rebooting the server by following the steps given in the Administrator
Guide and then retry the ilo2 flash operation.
Discovery and flash recommendation of NIC failed with Error: 0x1A0E
Error Message: Discovery failed for HP Embedded Network Adapter using
<smart-component-filename> Check log file /var/log/hp/platform/fmt/firmware.log for more
information.
This issue is observed to have occurred due to parallel running of FMT processes. The parallel
running FMT processes might have triggered when platform monitoring service (hpspmon) is running
FMT and at the same time the user has spawned another FMT process.
Another probable cause might also be a mismatch in the version of the NIC driver after a StoreAll
upgrade.
