Summary The purpose of this document is to provide both general and very specific questions concerning the HP XML Accelerator for SAP NetWeaver PI. The topics covered include the following: • Which mapping program constructs are supported in accelerated mapping programs. • Which mapping program constructs are supported in accelerated mapping programs, but which are not themselves acceleratable.
General support of mapping types and technologies according to the PI standard Which PI standard mapping types are supported (Message, XSLT, Java, ABAP mappings)? See http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/12/05731a10264057badc32d3d3957015/ content.htm. Standard XSLT code can be directly accelerated, without porting the code. This is accomplished by through the use of an XSLT library which targets the acceleration hardware where applicable.
Support of XSLT mappings according to the PI standard When executing XSL translations in PI, is the SAP XML Toolkit (for releases lower than 7.1) and the JDK 5 (for releases equal/greater than 7.1) supported? See http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/73/f61eea1741453eb8f794e150067930/ content.htm. The XML Accelerator product is independent of the SAP XML Toolkit version. JDK Version 5 and above is supported.
Support of pre-configuration for Mapping Programs with Operation Mappings according to the PI standard Are all basic settings for operation mappings supported? See http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/8c/447891e999478f8a4394ab566bc343/ content.htm. The product works at the PI Message mapping level and does not interfere with Operation Mapping features of PI. Is the test environment for operation mappings supported? See http://help.sap.
Support of Advanced Mapping Techniques Are all mapping runtime constants supported? See http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/73/f61eea1741453eb8f794e150067930/ content.htm . The PI server passes constant information as parameters to the style sheet. In order to use constants, they need to be declared as global parameters in the style sheet. Are Adapter-specific message attributes supported? See http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/43/03fe1bdc7821ade10000000a1553f6/ content.htm.
Acceleration of parameterized mapping programs is not supported. Are references between mapping programs supported? See http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/a4/64b93d0d4e6b3be10000000a114084/ content.htm . Acceleration of Java mapping programs is not supported in the current release. Acceleration of mapping programs containing references between function libraries is supported. Acceleration of mapping programs with references from function libraries to Java classes is supported.
